These units are available in both remote temperature and remote temperature/humidity versions. The remote box can be connected to the sensorProbe by using a standard CAT-5 cable with RJ45 connectors.

This provides the customers a flexibility to position the sensorRemote box anywhere with a custom cable. The sensorRemote box contains sensors and support circuitry allowing the cable to be extended up to 1,000 feet. The sensorRemote contains a standard RJ45 receptacle, allowing connection via corporate networking patch panels in many cases and a 5 foot cable. The range can be extended the using the corporate networking patch panel to a sensorRemote in a different room.

When the sensorRemote box is plugged into the RJ-45 port, the sensorProbe will auto detect the sensor, and it will display temperature or temperature/humidity for each RJ-45 port. A built in graph option is included on all sensorProbes for graphing temperature or temperature/humidity variations over a period of time.

The temperature sensorRemote box can be read using included SNMP utilities to allow graphing and data logging at 0.5°C resolution.

The temperature sensor in the temperature/humidity sensorRemote box can be read using included SNMP utilities to allow graphing and data logging at 0.2°C resolution.

1) Extended temperature range can be supported by integration with custom sensors. Please contact support@akcp.com for more detail.
2) The 1,000 foot operating range of our temperature and dual temperature/humidity sensors is not guaranteed. We have a very high success ratio in implementations of the sensorRemote over very long cable lengths. However, longer cable lengths can be difficult to achieve in areas of high Electromagnetic interference. In these cases we have been successful by using shielded cabling.


Certification

Our sensorRemote Sensors for a single port Temperature/Humidity Sensor is calibrated using dedicated equipment which is calibrated according to ISO/IEC 17025 and calibrated by comparison against natural standards, natural physical constants, consensus standards, or by ratio type measurements using self-calibrating techniques.

Standards incorporated to establish this comparison are NIST and NPL traceable.

Our sensorRemote Sensors for a single port Temperature/Humidity Sensor comply with RoHS and WEEE requirements. There is no substance to be declared.
