The KN9116 is a practical and affordable management solution for data centers where a large number of servers exist. It is ideal for a network administrator that must have 24/7 server room access, especially for critical operations. Log Server Instead of simple log files, the KN9116 has a built in Log Server that records every event that takes place. For added protection, only administrators are permitted access to these log files for analysis and security control. Unauthorized access can be detected and prevention measures deployed to counter illicit users. Power Over the Net With the addition of a PN0108 Power over the NET unit, an admin-istrator can even remotely reboot or power on/power off any device. The PN0108 was designed to work seamlessly with the KN9116. Since the KVM supports keyboard and mouse emula-tion, the remote servers will not hang at boot-up when seeking a keyboard or mouse. Together, the KN9116 and PN0108 offer system administrators the necessary tools for round the clock network management from anywhere in the world. Security Includes password protection and advanced encryption technolo-gies - DES 56 bits / AES 256 bits / RSA 1024 bits (public key encryption) / SSL 128 bits (private key encryption). Secure reliable control of the KVM switch via local console or remote IP connected browser through a custom user-friendly GUI design. Space and Cost Savings Desk space and rack space can be saved since only one keyboard, video and mouse is needed to control all the systems connected to the KVM switch. Without the need to purchase keyboards, video and mice for every system, there is a substantial cost savings, not to mention the convenience and time-saving factors. Plug-n’-play Setup Setup is simply the task of plugging in the right cables. No additional software is required. Built-in features such as On Screen Display (OSD), Automatic Port ID identification, Autoscan and Password Protection make operations simple, fast and effective. Dual Bus / Dual Control The KN9116 allows two administrators, one from a local console and the other remotely from any IP connected web browser, to securely monitor, manage, troubleshoot or run applications from 16 devices connected to the KVM switch. Each administrator has independent control of the KVM via our embedded Windows or Java, web-based, Management Utility. No software is required for the remote administrator, just type in an URL and you will be at the Console. Complete control is always within your reach. |

The KN9116 has a unique adjustable front panel, thoughtfully and stylishly engineered to fit in a 1 U (19”) rack. Convenience was the objective when the front panel was designed to extend out from the rear unit – a perfect fit for any rack depth in any server room.
